Two electric scooters can look identical while their quotations describe very different products. For Algerian importers comparing Chinese suppliers, the first task is to make the offers comparable. A lower unit price means little if the battery, packaging or after-sales package changes between quotations.
Send every supplier the same requirements. Identify the motor's rated output, battery chemistry and nominal energy, controller specification, braking system, tire size, charger and intended load. Ask suppliers to mark every deviation instead of silently proposing a different configuration. Confirm whether the quoted price includes the battery and charger.
Record the agreed trade term and named location, quotation currency, validity period, order quantity and payment milestones. Keep freight, insurance, destination handling, customs clearance, applicable taxes and inland delivery as separate worksheet lines. Have your Algerian broker and freight forwarder provide current figures for the exact shipment; a factory quotation cannot establish your final local charges.
Divide your complete order cost by the number of units available for sale, allowing separately for demonstration stock and units reserved for training. Avoid counting the same freight or insurance charge twice. Keep recoverable tax treatment separate from cash required at arrival and obtain local accounting advice where necessary.
Create a base case and a stress case with a higher freight quote, slower sales and a larger service allowance. These are planning scenarios, not predictions. If a small change removes the expected margin, renegotiate the configuration or order size before committing.
Ask each shortlisted supplier to confirm the final specification and all exclusions in writing. The best comparison is an auditable worksheet supported by a sample, rather than a collection of headline prices.
